A myth that is still controversial. When the popular Argentine actress
María Eva Duarte married Juan Domingo Perón, elected
president in 1946, she became one of the most loved and hated personalities
in the country. She was kindly called 'Evita' and devoted herself
to social welfare. When she died in 1952, she was mourned by the
whole country as nobody was ever before. After the military coup
in 1955 her body was secretly sent to Italy and later to Madrid.
Only in 1975, Peron's third wife, María Estela Martinez,
ordered her body to be brought back to Argentina and buried in Recoleta
Cementery. The tour includes the most important points referred
to her history and the locations of the controversial Evita film,
starred by Madonna and directed by Oliver Stone, visit to San Isidro
Racetrack and typical steak lunch at restaurant.
Duration: 6 hours

The ideal rest in a relaxing atmosphere. The options are vast.
Due to their closeness we suggest three properties located in
San Antonio de Areco, cradle of Gaucho tradition, 120 km from
Buenos Aires:
El Rosario de Areco
This 80 hectares estancia is devoted to breeding of Polo horses.
The main house, in colonial style, dates from 1892. It has
a park of 12 hectares with a wide variety of trees. The studs
outstand together with the refurbished premises that include
apartments for 2 or 3 guests with private bathroom and air-conditioning.
Activities offered are: horseback riding, carriage or 'sulky'
rides, bicycle rides, swimming pool, indoor games, golf and
tennis (nearby) and walks around the main house.
There is a polo school and practices can also be organized.
Polo is played at the estancia on week-ends.
El Ombú de Areco
Named after the most typical bush in our land: the Ombú,
characterized by its wide top and ancient roots. A magnificent
main house built in 1880 by General Ricchieri, awaits its
visitors. It has 6 rooms with private bathroom, swimming pool.
Their studs are also important and offer an opportunity to
see the Argentine very good horses.
Activities offered are: horseback riding, swimming pool, rides
on antique carriages, participation in the activities of the
estancia, table games, tennis and golf.

La Porteña
The magnificent park was designed by Carlos Thays and the
place preserves the essential for those looking for traces
from the past. The house of colonial style was built in the
middle of the last century. There lived writer Ricardo Güiraldes,
author of "Don Segundo Sombra". This and a thousand other
stories are told by the owner of the house, Manuel Güiraldes.
It has 4 double rooms with private bathroom.
Activities offered are: horseback riding, rides on carriages
and walks.
Polo lovers will find a school of this sport, fields, breeding
of ponies and all aspects associated with this activity.

A unique natural reservation a few steps from downtown.
Costanera Sur Ecology Reservation is a unique area in Buenos
Aires, a sanctuary of wild life where Nature is protected.
This area recovered from the river for a building project
that was never started slowly became the habitat of a wide
variety of coastal flora and fauna species from the River
Plate and the Parana Delta. A city protects the area.
Visit hours: April to October - 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m./November
to March - 8.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. There is no entrance fee.
A visit that is an experience. On Mondays, Tuesdays and
Wednesdays most part of the cattle that supplies the city
is auctioned at Liniers Cattle Market. The animals are placed

Córdoba: is a charming province located in the
heart of Argentina. Valleys, hills, lakes, plains, rivers and
streams, woods and even an inner sea account for the beauty
of the province. Rich in history, the native and colonial cultures
are present in testimonies and architecturally interesting buildings,
mainly churches, scattered all over the province. Cordoba City,
the capital, is one of the most important cities in the country
and one of the commercial and cultural centres. Along Punilla
and Calamuchita Valleys, the scenery combines lakes, streams
and hills of charming beauty.
Mar del Plata: is the most important summer resort in
Argentina. It is located on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean,
404 km from Buenos Aires and it is a busy city year round, favourite
with many Argentines for their summer vacation. The 47 km of
coast combine sand beaches and rocky cliffs. The surrounding
hills and lagoons complete the landscape. Nightlife is intense
and the Casino Central, the most important in the country, stands
out. |
